INTENSIVE COURSES
• Before you consider an intensive course, you need to think carefully.
• Only 50% of knowledge is generally retained on any intensive course.
• Only 20% of totally new drivers pass intensive courses 1st time.
• If you have had 10-15 hours of driving then intensive course pass rates exceed 70%
• To survive on the roads we need great awareness and razor sharp instincts
• So do you think you need to learn so quickly?
As an experienced driving instructor, my advice would be:
New drivers - learn over a minimum period of 6-8 weeks
Drivers with some experience - learn over 1-2 weeks.
To become a good driver you need to have loads of experience in all driving situations. Your skills need to be polished, your planning and awareness must be superb and your instincts razor sharp to survive alone in the driving jungle.
So before you start on an intensive course, have a 2 hour assessment lesson then discuss the best options for you with your instructor. As we treat every student as an individual, we will give you the best advice on how to progress and tailor a course to suit you.
